DATA SOURCING 
DWS Marketing work with business data partners from across the market in order to find the most relevant data for our clients. In many cases there are a combination of types of business data which may be suitable and these range from modeled and profiled databases to much more detailed information gathered by telephone or survey.
Where our clients have a number of data sources already we can rationalise these to identify the best responding data and align this with the companies expectations of return on investment.
DATA CLEANSING 
With any direct marketing activity, there are a number of ways to select new prospects and often these include using existing prospect databases or even your customer base.
Typically, many of our clients do not have ongoing data refreshes across their existing business data, meaning that over time the quality of their own data reduces in its effectiveness. DWS Marketing can take your existing data and cleanse and enhance your records to: -
1. Refresh the address information and bring up to a PAF standard.
2. Add telephone and fax numbers where they are available.
3. Enhance your data with additional fields such as company turnover and employees.
4. Identify the SIC and more detailed classifications for your existing customers.
5. Supply additional decision maker information and related business email addresses.
DATA PROFILING 
One of the key advantages of direct marketing is the ability to directly communicate with a decision maker within a relevant business on a proactive basis. In contrast to web activity, which relies on the prospect to visit you or search for you via a search engine.
There are more than 3 million businesses available and for most if not all of our clients, they are most interested in a subset of the business universe than the whole thing. In addition, different products and services within their portfolio are relevant for different businesses, specific decision makers and therefore our analysis of the target audience changes in line with this.
